Summer Ice Festival was a project in which I developed a custom festival concept from the ground up. Wanting the event to revolve around the spirit of summer, I explored seasonal themes and ultimately chose ice cream as the centerpiece. The result was a vibrant and playful summer ice cream festival, designed to capture the joy, nostalgia, and refreshing energy of summertime.
LOGO
For the logo, my goal was to create something iconic and immediately recognizable. I conducted informal research by asking others what imagery comes to mind when they think of ice cream, and the most common response was a classic cone with scoops. To preserve that iconic quality, I designed a logo featuring a traditional ice cream cone and incorporated Neapolitan colors—chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry—to evoke familiarity and nostalgia. The typography was carefully integrated into the shape of the cone, blending the words Summer Ice seamlessly into the visual design.
PATTERNS AND ICONS
For the patterns and icons, I chose to keep the design clean and straightforward. The icons feature a variety of ice cream types that are well-known and widely recognized around the world, along with a few additional styles based on popular responses during my research. To maintain consistency and visual cohesion across the system, I used the same color palette throughout, reinforcing both the simplicity and structure of the overall brand identity.
STATIONERY
As part of the brand collateral, I created a tote bag design, recognizing its popularity and practicality during the summer season. In addition, I designed a business card, poster, and event ticket—each aligned with the overall visual identity of the Summer Ice Festival to ensure a cohesive and engaging brand experience across all touchpoints.
